Heart
and Spleen deficiency
Severe
anxiety, depression, frequent sorrow without any obvious causes,
heavy sweating, hand tremors, hallucinations, palpitation (noticeable
and irregular heartbeat), hypersomnia, nightmares, fatigue, thin
white tongue coating, and weak pulse.
To treat by Herbal medicine
Therapeutic principle: Reinforce the Heart and Spleen, nourish
Blood and reinforce the Qi.
Prescription/Formula: Modified Guipi Tang. White atractylodes
(baizhu) 12g, Poria (fuling) 9g, Astragalus (huangqi) 12g, Longan
aril (longyanrou) 9g, Wild jujube seed (suanzaoren) 6g, Ginseng
(renshen) 8g, Costus root (muxiang) 6g, Licorice (gancao) 3g, Chinese
angelica (danggui) 12g, Polygala (yuanzhi) 9g, Curcuma root (Yujing)
9g.

To treat by Acupuncture and Moxibustion
Therapeutic
principle: Reinforce the Heart and Spleen, nourish Blood and
reinforce the Qi by using points mainly from Ren Channel and the
Bladder meridian of Foot Taiyang.
Prescription: Xinshu (BL 15), Pishu (BL 20), Qihai (RN 6),
Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Neiguan (PC 6).

Prescription/Formula: Modified ChaihuShugan San. Bupleurum
(chaihu) 9g, Cyperus tuber (xiangfu) 12g, Ligusticum (chuanxiong)
6g, White peony (baishao) 12g, Licoroce (gancao) 6g, Bitter orange
(zhiqiao) 9g, Green tangerine peel (qingpi) 6g, Corydalis tuber
(yanhusuo) 9g, Magnolia bark (houpo) 9g.
To treat by Acupuncture and Moxibustion

by using points mainly from Liver meridian Foot Jueyin and Ren Channel.

12g, Cinnamon twigs (guizhi) 6g, Lycium fruit (gouqizi) 6g.

mainly from Bladder meridian of Foot Taiyang and Ren channel.
Prescription: Gaohuangshu (BL 43), shenshu (BL 23), Shenmai

(SP 6).
